Theater of Lights -- Downtown Sacramento
Theatre of Lights is a free holiday lighting extravaganza at the Old Sacramento Waterfront produced by the Downtown Sacramento Partnership. The nightly performances Thursday through Sunday from Thanksgiving Eve – Christmas Eve (no show on Thanksgiving) features a live-action retelling of Moore’s 1823 poem — “A Visit from St. Nicholas,” more popularly known as “’Twas the Night Before Christmas.”
For actors, our general requirements are:
  • High school-level or higher acting experience. 
  • Be punctual and be fully-available for the months of November and December. 
  • Have excellent work ethic and recognize that safety in a live performance is paramount. 
  • Have reliable means of transportation.
  • Have the ability to safely and quickly navigate and maneuver in the dark and in challenging environments while in costume.
  • Excel at line memorization and ability to lip sync to a prerecorded dialog track.
  • Be professional, courteous, and take the role seriously.
