After School Program (ASSETs)
After School Safety and Education for Teens

Post

Here at Health Professions, we encourage students to try and explore new things everyday. With the expanded learning program, ASSETs (After School Safety and Education for Teens), we create a safe space for students to participate in various activities before and after school. Before school, we work closely with teachers and staff to create classes relevant to student needs. This can range from Tutoring, SAT Prep, or even Cheer and Filmmaking! After-school, we provide academic support in the form of study hall where we’ll have mentors that can assist each student with their work for the day. ASSETs also runs all the sports programs throughout the year (Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball) so expect to see us after-school if that interests you! Outside of academics and sports, ASSETs also holds enrichment activities after-school such as ASL, Dungeons and Dragons, Gardening, and Creative Writing). Hope to see you soon!

Please do not hesitate to contact LaCherryal Veal, the ASSETs Program Manager, with any questions, comments, or concerns you may have at LaCherryl-Veal@scusd.edu or call 916-395-5010 ext 501027
