SDC Social Worker
I graduated from California State University, Sacramento with my Bachelors of Arts in Social Work in 1992 and with my Masters of Social Work, along with my Pupil Personnel Service Credential in School Social Work in 1995. I came to Health Professions High School the Spring Semester of 2016. Prior to coming to Health Professions, I worked in SCUSD’s Child Development Department for 17 years as a school social worker.
I am thrilled to be here at Health Professions to serve students and families. My role is to support students and families through counseling services, advocacy, resources, and mental health education as well as provide support to the classroom staff.
My life outside of work and favorite pastime include: Hanging out with my wonderful husband of 21 years, our three fabulous teenagers, and our energetic yellow Labrador puppy, named “Sunny”;
I also enjoy singing, reading, walking, shopping, meeting new people, listening to inspirational speeches and songs; and being involved in my church (I sing in my church choir and co-teach a married couples class with my husband).
HPHS students and families are welcome to contact me anytime.
