Hello I’m Mrs. Bonnie DeBiasio and I teach RSP support both in the GE classroom and small group instruction. and I’ve been a Resource Specialist for the past nine years. I couldn’t be more excited to be starting my second year at HPHS! I love being a part of a school that is so caring of its students and their families.
I graduated from CSU, Chico with a BA in Education and two teaching credentials which include K-6 General Education and K-12 Special Education. I have been married to my husband, Joe for the past nine years and we have two beautiful children ages two and three.
I enjoy helping students succeed and reach their highest potential because all students can learn, all students want to feel successful and all have a lot to contribute to our school and community! Go Jaguars!!
Mr. Richards celebrates his 21st year of teaching students with special needs this school year. Mr. Richards holds a BA and MA in US History from UC Riverside and completed his special education teaching credential program at San Francisco State University. He is a proud father and husband. My name is Derek Steffen. I am a Sacramento native and attended Sonoma State University (07), where I received my B.A. in Political Science and minored in English. I earned my educational specialist credential from Sacramento State and have been an instructor in the Special Day Class setting since 2010. My wife and I have an 8-year-old son and infant daughter. When family and teaching duties allow, movies consume my life. In 2017, I channeled that passion into starting a movie club at school.
I graduated from California State University, Sacramento with my Bachelors of Arts in Social Work in 1992 and with my Masters of Social Work, along with my Pupil Personnel Service Credential in School Social Work in 1995. I came to Health Professions High School the Spring Semester of 2016. Prior to coming to Health Professions, I worked in SCUSD’s Child Development Department for 17 years as a school social worker.
