I teach Sophomore Medical English and Senior Government/Economics, and I’m thrilled to be starting another year at HPHS!
I am passionate about Health and Healthcare as a Social Justice issue, and my students can expect to address questions of equity and access on a regular basis. All of my classes have a strong focus on communication, both written and oral, and each grade level will complete at least one civic action project over the course of the year.
Marsha Stanley has taught English for the past 16 years, eleven of those years at Health Professions High School. She loves working with high school students; she encourages students’ success by providing daily practice in reading or writing skills. In her spare time, Marsha enjoys Broadway plays and musicals, and loves to read classic literature such as The Great Gatsby and Grapes of Wrath. In 2006, Marsha was named Teacher of the Year for Sacramento Unified School District.
